AMP Radio in Malaysia with zirkon and Nova73 HD.
Flexible routing and high functionality.
Airtime Management and Programming (AMP), a private broadcaster in Malaysia, have been operating out of South East Asia’s first all-digital radio station complex, as built in 1996. After eleven years, AMP upgraded to a new generation of digital studio technology, developed jointly with Lawo.
Flexibility thanks to Nova73 router
Thanks to the power of the zirkon and the Nova 73 HD-router, all of the customer´s requirements could be fulfilled. Serial interfaces developed by AMP allow the control between the zirkon and other connected devices. In addition, as the zirkon is networked with the Nova73 router which in turn is networked with other studios and up-line transmission zirkon frames, just about any device in a studio can be used to trigger control of anything anywhere in the Lawo Network. The consoles are capable of controlling all audio routing and mixing and also of acting as a central point of control for eight other integrated studio systems.
Macro type functionality
AMP’s reasons for purchasing zirkon consoles are founded on the macro type functionality. This allows to configure most complex repetitive tasks to a single console button. The Lawo zirkon with the new surface module 2S is almost totally user configurable.
VisTool for on-screen operation
The surface control functionality can be extended through VisTool, the on-screen application, so that metering, timers, EQ, dynamics, network control, alarm indicators and more “touch-screen” are available. With multiple screen pages, the functionality can be prioritised to provide all necessary basics on the first page and lesser used functionality on lower level pages.
